Thomastown West Primary School is looking forward to participating in this year’s National Literacy and Numeracy Week activities which will be held from 25th to 31st August.
National Literacy and Numeracy Week is a celebration of literacy and numeracy – core skills that help students succeed at school and later in life.
We will be participating in the Read for Australia initiative on Thursday afternoon at 2.15pm. The whole school will join together to enjoy the story, Sunday Chutney by Aaron Blabey and then explore the book with their class. The book explores many themes such as friendship, self-reliance and the importance of family.
