The school services a ‘working class multicultural’ community. We have over 20 nationalities represented in our school community. This profile has remained constant for the past five years. In 2010 school enrollments are about 345 students.
The school staff is currently 37, many of whom are part time. Thirty are teachers (three of whom are male). The seven non teaching staff includes three office staff and four integration aides. Additional staff includes four in the canteen and three in the Out of School Hours program.
The future is very exciting for us. In 2010 we hope to start the first stage of construction for our new school. This is a joint project which is funded by both State and Federal governments. It is also part of the Main Street Precinct Plan. The Main Street Precinct involves: our Primary School, Maternal Health Centre, Kindergarten, Secondary School, Recreation facilities (including a public swimming pool) and the Thomastown Public Library.
If you would like to come and visit, please feel free to make a time. I am very happy to discuss any aspect of our school and educational program with you.
I hope to speak with you soon.
